Artist's Comments

This time i've used final gather for the lighting, i like this lighting due to the realism it adds, however, i sense that my previous lighting setups had more dramatic effects - like the accentuation of muscle details, wires and such. anyway final gather is just as good in its own way, its refreshin for me to look at since its my first time using it, heheh. much thanks to joshpurple-gassy for the tutorials! :headbang:
my future works will alternate in the use of dramatic lighting and final gather depending on the model or mood.

AWESOME! And, Thank You! You ROCK Kassarts :headbang: !!

I agree with you. There is so MUCH to lights, shadows, final gather, Shaders, ( -Electric Blues), very realistic textures (marble statue, etc.), -I'm sure you've seen a ton of it :) .

When I use Global Illumination, or final gather, or Radiosity, etc. -more advanced lighting set-ups, I will many times put the model on a large flat plane. Like, you could keep your model on the pedestal, but put that on a big flat gray plane -and render it. Just 'cause the all lighter/white background removes the 'depth' of the environment around it. Or, an all black background maybe? (Black is less depth too, but, -your soft shadow edges would flow a little more into the model, avoiding a hard edge against the white).

And by no means do I mean to tell you what to do, because your work KICKS BUTT! AWESOME work!

wow, thats just bloody amazing, for a second i thought you'd used a laser cutter type thing to create an actual model (those things cost a LOT ofmoney to the best of my knowledge)

its an amazing model packed full of detail, it was great to see this develop, are you gonna get a skin onto it?
